CONDITIONS FOR SUBMITTING AN ABSTRACT

How to submit an abstract

Abstracts on the particular subjects can be submitted exclusively online during the online registration: https://muscletechnetwork.org/workshop/8th-edition/registration/

Applications via fax, e-mail, etc. cannot be taken into consideration.

Notifications about acceptance or refusal will be sent out during August 2016.

Abstracts will NOT be accepted after the deadline, neither by e-mail nor any other means of written communication.

The Scientific Committee reserves the right to accept abstracts as either oral or poster presentations, regardless of the preference indicated by the authors at the time of submission.

Language

Abstracts can only be submitted and presented in English.

Size, content

The abstract is limited to 300 words including tables (figures are not allowed).

Modifications to abstracts that are already registered are possible up to the application deadline.

The following structure of the abstract is mandatory:

Title, objectives, methods, results, conclusions.

Concerning the methods it has to be clear if it is a prospective or a retrospective study and how the data has been obtained.

Statistical data have to be specified.

The test execution of experimental studies has to be understandable.

The described methodology of data entry and data evaluation of clinical papers must be traceable.

The abstract has to contain all relevant data.

To assure an anonymous handling, it is not allowed to mention any names of the author or of the hospital or of the location of the hospital in the text/paper.

Results that have already been published cannot be submitted

Authors of all abstracts are required to grant an exclusive licence on a worldwide basis to the BMJ and/or co-owners or contracting owning societies (where published by the BMJ on their behalf) in accordance with our standard licence.

The corresponding/lead author of each abstract agrees to the terms and conditions of BMJ’s standard licence to publish for abstracts, which can be found at http://journals.bmj.com/site/authors/Abstract%20Licence%20March%202014.pdf.

Rules & regulations

It is not allowed to submit an abstract several times to different subjects of the congress.

The presenting author must be listed first.

The number of authors including presenting author is limited to 6 people.

The person, who is mentioned first, is responsible for the compliance with ethic regulations. The abstract text has to be written in a way that it is usable for printing/publishing (see “License to publish”)
