Our researchers

The initiative MuscleTech has its own scientists researching both on the medical field and the common science. We collaborate with international centres linked to the researching activity on muscle and tendon in areas as movement, physic exercise, sport and life quality along the human ageing process.

Gil RodasDr. Gil Rodas is the Scientific Manager of MuscleTech Network since 2009. He holds a degree in Medicine and a PhD by the University of Barcelona and is specialist in sports medicine. He has researched on diagnosis, treatment and prevention of muscle tendon injuries; functional assessment, supervision and monitoring of training of sportsmen; genetics and sports; heart rate variability (HRV) as indicator of the physical condition and stress and analysis of segmental bioimpedance measurements.

During his professional career, he has made several publications, participated as speaker in many congresses and lectures and, besides his career as Doctor of the FC Barcelona, he is a recognized scientific and professional of reference in the world of Sports Medicine and research applied in this field.
